Cupping is a healing modality used to increase circulation to areas of stagnant blood and energy. Cupping feels like a deep tissue massage and can vary in intensity based on individual’s need. Commonly used to alleviate pain, release muscle tension and facilitate circulation.
Moxabustion is a form of heat therapy in which Moxa, a dried herb, is burned on specific points to nurture and warm the body. Moxa is commonly used to calm the mind, alleviate pain, ease cramping, improve digestive flow, increase circulation of blood and energy, as well as expel common cold and illness.
Tui Na is a hands on form of Asian Bodywork used to assist energetic flow in the muscles and meridians. Tui means “to push” and na means “to lift and squeeze.” Other techniques include shaking, tapping and acupressure. Tui Na aids in treatment of both chronic and acute musculoskeletal conditions, as well as non-musculoskeletal conditions.

For those who are skeptical about acupuncture, it is very possible to dislike needles but love acupuncture. Acupuncture needles are solid stainless steel and about the width of a human hair. They are very different from the hollow hypodermic needles used to draw blood.

Patients may experience a tiny pinch upon insertions, but once the points are in there should be no major discomfort. If you are feeling uncomfortable, never hesitate to let your practitioner know and they will make adjustments. Most people find the experience deeply relaxing and even fall asleep during treatment.

Acupuncture can help with:
Stress/Anxiety. Depression. Insomnia. Allergies. Back Pain. Sciatica. Neck/Shoulder Tension. Migraine. PTSD. Fatigue. Fertility. Painful Periods. IBS. Crohn’s.

Benefits of Acupuncture

Season Change
Acupuncture is an excellent resource during time of transition into Fall and Winter months.

Immune System
Acupuncture strengthens the immune system by boosting our defensive Qi (the energy that protects us from invasion of pathogenic factors that make us sick).

Seasonal Allergies
Acupuncture can alleviate symptoms such as sinus congestion, headache and mental fog, increase energy and prevents allergy flair ups.

Mental Health
Acupuncture relieves stress and anxiety by balancing mood and grounding system. It can ease depression by lifting mood and moving blockages in system.

Body Pain & Tension
Acupuncture releases tense muscles with trigger point technique and cupping. It increases circulation of blood and energy throughout the body and relieves pains and heightens the body’s natural abilities to heal itself from injury and chronic conditions.
